Frequently asked questions
When is the best time?
From week 14+0 and for the rest of the pregnancy. Many book a time between week 20 and 28, when there is a longer gap between the public check-ups, or in the last weeks before the birth to get an extra look at the little one.
Can you tell how much the baby weighs?
Yes. We measure the baby and work out an estimated weight, so you can see where it sits for your particular week. You take the figures home along with the images.
How often can I come?
As often as you like. Ultrasound is considered safe throughout pregnancy and there is no upper limit – many come regularly between the public check-ups.
Do I need a referral?
No. You book directly online, with no referral.
Do I need to prepare for the scan?
No, no special preparation is needed. The reassurance scan is done on the tummy, and it is up to you whether you empty your bladder beforehand – it makes no difference to us.
