Large 3D/4D scan

The full experience – 45 minutes with your baby in 3D/4D.

45 minutes in which we take our time to coax the face into view – and wait, if your baby has their hands in front of it. You get up close: the nose, the lips, small movements and expressions. The best time is usually between week 25 and 33, and if the images are not clear, a free rescan is included.

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time?

Around week 28 is best. From week 25 the face has begun to fill out, and up to week 33 there is still enough amniotic fluid in front of it for the image to be sharp. After week 33 it gets crowded. If you are expecting twins, come in weeks 26–28 rather than later.

What is the difference between the small and the large 3D/4D scan?

The time, and what comes with it. The small one is 30 minutes at DKK 1,100. The large one is 45 minutes at DKK 1,500 and includes a free rescan if the images do not come out clearly. If you want to be sure of good images, the large one is the safe choice.

Is 3D/4D the same as an ordinary ultrasound?

Yes. It is the same ultrasound as at any other scan – the image is simply converted into 3D so you can see the face.
