At Stork Scan we look after the information you entrust to us. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we store it and what rights you have.

What information we process

When you book an appointment or are scanned by us, we typically process: your name, your email address and your phone number, your due date or week of pregnancy, which scan you have chosen, and any message you write to us yourself. In connection with the examination itself and with keeping your medical record, we may also process health data (for example findings from the scan) and – where it is necessary – your Danish civil registration number (CPR) and your address.

Purpose and legal basis

We process the information in order to carry out your booking, to perform and document the scan, and to communicate with you about your appointment. The legal basis is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Article 6(1)(b) (performance of a contract) and, for health data, Article 9(2)(h) (health purposes and medical records). Your CPR number is processed under section 11 of the Danish Data Protection Act, where it is necessary for unambiguous identification in connection with healthcare treatment.

Storage

Medical record data is kept for as long as Danish law on medical records requires. Other booking and contact details are kept only for as long as is necessary for the purpose, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

Disclosure and data processors

We never sell your information. We use trusted suppliers (data processors) for things like hosting the website and sending emails; they process data only on our behalf and under a data processing agreement. Otherwise, information is disclosed only if you ask us to, or if we are legally required to do so.

Cookies

We use necessary cookies so that the website works – for example to remember your choice of language and your cookie consent. We also load fonts and a few images and media files from third parties in order to display the site correctly. If you accept cookies, we also use Google Analytics and Google Ads to measure use of the site and the effect of our own ads, which means data is shared with Google. You can always decline and use only the necessary cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clearing cookies in your browser.

Your rights

You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have incorrect information corrected, to have information erased (within the limits of the law), and to object to the processing. Contact us at kontakt@storkscan.dk if you wish to exercise your rights. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.dk).

Security

We protect your information with access control and an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we review our security on an ongoing basis so that your data is handled responsibly.

Terms

Booking. You can book online, by phone or at the clinic. The appointment is reserved for you alone, and you pay at the clinic. No deposit is charged when you book.

Cancelling and rescheduling – the deadline is 24 hours. Cancellations and changes must be made no later than 24 hours before the time you have booked. If, for example, you have an appointment at 10.00 on a Wednesday, we need to hear from you by 10.00 on the Tuesday. You can cancel or move your appointment using the link in your confirmation email, by phone on +45 93 92 64 41, or at kontakt@storkscan.dk. Cancelling within the deadline is free, and you have not paid anything in advance.

Late cancellation and no-shows. If you cancel later than 24 hours before your appointment, move it later than 24 hours before, or do not turn up, we invoice the full amount for the scan you booked. The invoice is sent to the email address you gave when booking.

Scan packages. A scan package must be used within 1 year of the date of purchase. The package is personal and may not be transferred to anyone else. Packages are non-refundable.
